How To Plot
The KSA IT Staff has assembled these instructions to guide students
as you plot via the plotters.
The school has two different types of plotters:
- OCE 320 plotters
We have 2 of these plotters, both of which are in the Advanced Computing
Lab in room 448. They are
36" grayscale roll
plotters which use PostScript drivers for vector or raster output.
- HP 4500 plotters
We have 3 of these plotters, and they are all located in the Advanced
Computing Lab in room 448. They are 36" roll plotters, and print
in 4 colors (CMYK) for the full range of color output. They operate
using either HPGL drivers (for CAD output) or PostScript drivers
(for all raster output). The best applications to use with these
plotters are Acrobat, AutoCAD, Freehand, and Photoshop.
Please select the software you are interested in from the menu at left.
If the software you are attempting to use is not listed, please reconsider
your choice of software. Applications like Powerpoint or Word are not
meant to produce large-format output, and should not be used for this
purpose.
If you have any questions, please feel free to contact the IT Staff
