How to Print to the HP 1055 Plotter using:

(36" Color Plotter)

* Documents from this program should not be plotted on the HP 430 (24" roll) Plotter*

Step 1: Select "File" and the select "Print" from the drop down menu in the top tool bar menu. You should see a print dialog box similar to Figure A.

Step 2: Clip the drop down box next to "Name" to select the appropriate printer. If you are unsure, check the name on the printers display panel to where you would loke print.

Step 3: After selecting the printer (KH 448-1 HP1055 PS) click on the "Properties" box next to the printer name.(see Figure A) The next dialog box will open as seen in Figure B.

Step 4: In this dialog box click on the "Advanced..." button.

Step 5: In the dialog box in (Figure C) select the "Paper Size" drop down menu and select the appropriate page size of your document. Advanced Plotter options dialog, showing how to specify a page size.

Step 6: If you have chosen a page size of Arch A, B, C, or D, you will need to scroll down further in this window to change "Rotate" to "True." (Figure D) If you have selected Arch E as your page size, skip directly to step 7. Advanced Plotter Options dialog, showing where to find the Rotate option.

Step 7: Click "OK" twice and this will take you back to the original print dialog box. Here you will now see a small preview of the image with the new page dimensions shown. (Figure E) If this doesn't match the page size you selected, you should start over. This is what will be sent to the plotter. Click "Print" to send your job to the plotter. Swipe your BuckID at the Pharos pay-station to release your print. Acrobat Print dialog, showing the correct page preview dimensions.
