How to Print to the HP 1055 Plotter using:

(36" Color Plotter)

Adobe Photoshop

* Documents from this program should not be plotted on the HP 430 (24" roll) Plotter *

Step 1: Select "File" and "Print with Preview" from the drop down menu in the top tool bar menu. You should then see a print dialog box like the one shown to the left (Figure A). Once here, you will see your image in the left viewing pane. It will probably look like this, where you are unable to view the entire image. That's ok for now. (See Figure A)

Step 2: Select "Page Setup" and you should get a screen that looks like Figure B below.

Step 3: Now you will need to indicate whether you want "Portrait" or "Landscape". (See Figure B)

Step 4: After selecting the orientation of your job, select "Printer". Click the "Printer" button in the bottom right of the "Page Setup" screen. (Figure B)

Step 5: Once here, click the drop down menu and select \\khprint\kh 480 HP1055 CM (See Figure C) Note: If you want a black and white plot, select the black and white plotter in this menu.

Step 6: After selecting the correct printer, select the "Properties" button.

Step 7: In this menu (Figure D) you want to make sure that your orientation is correct then select the "Advanced..." button. Document Properties dialog, showing how to access the Advanced Options.

Step 8: In this window (Figure E) you will see paper size. You should select one of the Arch sizes for your drawing.

Step 9: If you look toward the bottom of the window, (Figure E) you will see a rotate option. If your image is smaller than Arch E size (36x48), select "Rotate:True".

Step 10: Once you have made these changes, select "OK" until you get back to the Print Screen (Figure F). In the top left corner you will see the version of your document . If you do not, repeat the above steps. If the image looks ok, hit "Print" and go to the Pharos Swipe Station and release your job.
